Tag: cemented carbide nail tools, the sequence of production lines

When I first entered UKO, a professional supplier of tungsten carbide tools, the first product I received was cemented carbide nail tools (including brazed gripper dies, brazed cutter, punches). In the workshop, I intuitively and clearly understand every link and detail of the production of TC products. However, for the application of products, I can only learn from the company's product catalogue and little information on the network. Unexpectedly, it was my customer who taught me the application of nail tools.

At first, in order to get a better understanding of the customers, I took the initiative to ask the customers what they need to complain after they received the goods.  So I met this particular Indian customer.  He wondered why there were sellers who took the initiative to complain. But after I explained the reason to him, he acknowledged it and introduced their production line in great detail. After our exchange of views, both sides have gained a lot. Next, I have sorted out our harvest in the sequence of production lines.

The first step is wire feeding straightening: the bending steel wire is straightened by friction wheel while the steel wire is transmitted. In the process, attention should be paid to the coordination of wire feeding and straightening. We usually need tungsten carbide brazed gripper dies here. When choosing brazed gripper dies, attention should be paid to the size of wire and the style of nail cap, so as to select the matching model.

Second step, cold heading nail cap: when the nail cap needs to be clamped by clamping mechanism, a section of steel wire is exposed for cold heading nail cap. We usually use movable or swinging stamping dies, collectively known as tungsten carbide punches. Punches are generally divided into threaded punches, mesh punches and plane punches according to patterns. In addition, UKO also provides laser marking services to meet the diverse needs of customers.

The third step, cold extrusion nail tip: extrude the shape of the nail tip through the die, and cut the steel wire at the same time. The tungsten carbide brazed cutter is needed here. It should be noted that nail cutters also have different types of cutter edges for different processing materials and machine speeds. For example, UKO generally recommends slotted nail knives for HSS nail manufacturers to improve the service life of nail knives.

The fourth step is to loosen the clamping mechanism and drop the nails. Be accomplished.
With a set of processes, we can easily find that not only brazed gripper dies, brazed cutter and punches, but also other UKO tungsten carbide products (including wire drawing dies, straightening dies, wire guide dies, etc.) can be used in the nail industry. At the same time, through comparison, we found that although the price of U-shaped alloy block cemented carbide nailing tools is much higher than that of round alloy block products, there is little difference in the application performance of products.

Over the years in UKO, my products have developed from cemented carbide nailing tools to rolls, descaling rolls, drawing dies and so on. I am no longer a green hand, but an old stager in carbide wire products. But I still appreciate that Indian customer. He is not only my customer, but also my teacher and friend.
