With the rapid development of the economies of various countries, especially the rapid increase in the demand for construction steel, it is urgent to further accelerate the quality and renewal of building steel bars. You can see many wire mesh in many construction sites. Maybe you know that these crescent-shaped steel bars are cold-rolled ribbed steel bars or hot-rolled ribbed steel bars. They are all steel or steel plates. In the molding process, they have a great influence on the organization and performance of the steel bars. There are differences between the two types steel bars, but do you really know the specific difference between cold and hot-rolled ribbed steel bars?
I was also unclear at the beginning. After entering RELINK, I had a basic understanding of the differences between cold rolled ribbed steel bars and hot rolled ribbed steel bars through the explanation of my colleagues. Later, through the introduction of an enthusiastic Romanian customer, Gabriel, an experienced technology manager from a manufacturer of steel bars. I had a deeper understanding of the differences and their advantages and disadvantages. He bought the 125*82*15mm our tungsten carbide cold roll of PR6.0, and reflected that the cold-rolled ribbed steel bar produced by roller from RELINK fully conforms to the standard of KARI488 PROFILE. The roller is wear-resistant, and he is satisfied with the quality and price, and happy to tell us about their main products. Here, I would like to especially thank my valuable customer Gabriel for his detailed and patient explanation.
Here are the differences for cold and hot ribbed steel bars:
1. Different processing techniques.
The hot-rolled steel bar passes the gap (various shapes) of the pair of rotating rolls at a high temperature at a high temperature, and the pressure is processed by the compression of the rolls to reduce the cross-section of the material and increase the length. Usually expressed in HRB, for example, HRB500, there are often large diameter steel bars with specifications Φ6-Φ25. Cold-rolled ribbed steel bars are made of hot-rolled round steel bars (wire bars or straight bars), which are stripped and reduced in diameter, ribbed and stress-relieved to form a new type of high-efficiency steel bar. Usually expressed in CRB, for example, CRB550, often has small steel bars such as Φ4-Φ14mm;
2. Physical properties are different.
Hot rolled steel bar has low yield strength and good plasticity. While cold rolled steel bars have high yield strength and poor plasticity. The yield strength of hot-rolled reinforcement HRB500 is above 500Mpa, and its elongation after fracture is more than 15%. The yield strength of cold rolled steel bar CRB550 is above 500, and its elongation at break is more than 4%.
3. Different applications.
The cold-rolled ribbed steel bar has three sides with ribs, good roundness, convenient opening and straightening, good welding quality and low price. It is suitable for the distribution of cast-in-situ slabs, the distribution of shear walls, the stirrups of beams and columns. And the reinforcement of the ring beam. Because of its good ductility, hot-rolled ribbed steel bars are suitable for reinforcement of components with seismic requirements, in addition to reinforced concrete slab structures.
As a professional manufacturer of tungsten carbide rolls with over 19 years of experience, RELINK has been providing high quality and durable tungsten carbide rolls to over 500 customers around the world. Just tell us the roll cassette speed and size of steel bar, or send steel bar sample to us, we will provide the most suitable solutions of tungsten carbide roll.
