Promotion and application of cold rolled ribbed steel in the Chinese market

The cold-rolled ribbed steel bar is a steel bar with two-sided or three-sided crescent shape formed by using a cemented carbide roll to reduce the diameter of the hot-rolled wire rod by multiple cold rolling, one pressing rib and eliminating the internal stress. Since the successful development of cold-rolled ribbed steel in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium in 1968, it has been widely used in Europe (Germany, Austria, Italy, the United States, the United Kingdom, etc.) since 1973. And there are national standards. Driven by the wave of reform and opening up in the 1980s, China began to introduce cold-rolled ribbed steel production equipment, such as rolls, mandrels, and cold water shafts installed on rolling mills. In the mid-1990s, joint ventures or wholly foreign-owned enterprises in Anhui / Guangdong / Jiangsu provinces introduced several production lines from abroad. At the same time, a number of scientific researchers have emerged in China to start research or imitation of refrigeration and rolling equipment. Up to now, there have been more than 400 cold-rolled and ribbed steel production lines in China, with an annual production capacity of 2 million tons, distributed in 26 provinces and cities.

Judging from the situation of the provinces that are known in China, in recent years, under the promotion of national policies, cold-rolled ribbed steel bars have been widely promoted and applied. Thanks to the high strength of the steel, the bond-bonding property with the concrete is good, and the elongation is larger than that of the similar cold-worked steel, and the application in the cast-in-place concrete structure is obviously improved. According to incomplete statistics. In 1998 alone, the national promotion volume exceeded 600,000 tons. In terms of production and application technology, China has developed on the basis of introduction. For example, the tensile strength of steel has been developed from one foreign strength level to three levels: LL550, LL650 and LL800; the application range is also from foreign non-prestressed concrete structures. The component is expanded to a prestressed concrete component.

The China National Science and Technology Commission has included cold-rolled ribbed steel bars in national key promotion projects. In August 1997, the Ministry of Construction named the national cross-century major technology promotion work as “Guangsha Project”, and the promotion of cold-rolled ribbed steel was first implemented as the initial start-up project of “Guangsha Project”. It shows that the country attaches importance to the promotion of cold-rolled ribbed steel bars.
In recent years, the technology of developing cold rolling equipment in China has been in a high-speed development trend. The equipment produced by some domestic manufacturers has reached the international advanced level. Manufacturers of cold-rolled ribbed steel from all over the world have gone to China to purchase carbide rolls and other alloy or steel parts, which has greatly reduced the cost of foreign cold-rolled ribbed steel manufacturers. It also guarantees the quality of the steel bars produced. Of course, there are still some

manufacturers of sub-filled cold rolling mills and hard alloy rolls in China. Therefore, when you are looking forward to purchasing rolls or rolling mills in China, you must carefully distinguish them. However, for many buyers who are not familiar with the Chinese domestic market, it is not a simple matter to identify a high-quality carbide roll supplier. I will continue to reveal the domestic cold-rolled belt in the following tweets. The production of rib bars and the internal conditions of the domestic carbide roll industry.
